Meet (Hum)anities

1 A yearlong, interdisciplinary course offered to first year students at Davidson College. It is team taught by eight professors across eight departments with each professor teaching a unit that lasts for a few weeks. Each unit has its own distinct theme, such as scientific paradigms, race in America, or post-war German terrorism. All of the units connect to the main theme of the course, which changes every two years. Students also take trips and participate in cultural events in the community that center on or connect in some way to this main theme. The 2018-2020 theme was Revolution.
